MIC Pream - WB-MP03 (Pure Tube Preamp)
This is a request from La Casa con Ruedas. They were looking for a mic preamp able to gently warm the signal with the tubes in order to obtain that vintage flavour we always appreciate.
Awaiting for Miguel Angel LCR blessings, so far we got a true tube preamplifier based in two double triodes and with total absence of semiconductors in the signal processing path.
Stepped gain control, switchable tone control to take it out of the circuit, volume control, XLR nad jack in/out, input attenuation, phase inversion, VU meter and 48V phantom power.
The XLR input and output are transformer coupled for impedance compensation. High impedance input jack ideal for an instrument. The initial idea was a mic preamp but evolution is wise and the WB-MP03 is also an instrument preamplifier, injection box and a sturdy weapon cased in 2mm of aluminum. A unique device wich heats up the signal from warm to red hot with pure tube harmonics!
